From 19 – 22/09/2023, the activity “Practical training on Monitoring the Results and Impacts of the SGP project II in Vietnam” took place at Kon Ka Kinh National Park (Gia Lai) and Chu Mom Ray National Park (Kon Tum).

This is one of the activities of the Small Grant Program Phase II (SGP II) sponsored by the ASEAN Center for Biodiversity (ACB) and the German Reconstruction Bank (KfW), of which Thua Thien Hue Union of Science and Technology Associations (HUSTA) is the Service Provider.
Participating in the activity, there were Sarah Grace Lapie Quinones and Judith Carla dela Torre Carandang Carandang (ACB), Mr. Steffen Weidner and Mr. Ha Van Hung (GITEC), and representatives of two National Parks.
The goal of the training course is to enhance the necessary capacity between the ASEAN Heritage Parks Management Board and the Service Provider to monitor the results and impact indicators of SGP II, synthesize relevant data and provide this data as part of ongoing field progress reporting to ACB and the Project Management Unit (PMU).
In this training course, under the guidance of SGP II consultants, participants will go through the process of measuring and reporting on the results and impact indicators of SGP II related to conservation. biodiversity conservation and management of protected areas. The training course is also expected to receive useful feedback on the reporting process and overall design of the M&E system for SGP II.
