
From March 16 to March 17, 2025, the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) convened a meeting with the grantees of the Small Grants Programme II (SGP II) to evaluate the progress of grant implementation.
The ACB team, comprising Ms. Corazon de Jesus, Jr., Acting Director for Sustainable Use and Access and Benefit-Sharing Division; Ms. Sarah Grace L. Quinones , SGP M&E Officer / RPCU Member ; and Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Hanh, ACB Country Manager for Viet Nam, along with the HUSTA service provider team, engaged with the grantee’s teams.
The session focused on several key areas:
- Key accomplishments: The meeting highlighted the major successes achieved by the grantees in the implementation of grants under the SGP II Programme.
- Issues and concerns from grant implementation: Discussions addressed challenges encountered during execution, including any logistical, technical, or financial hurdles faced by the grantees.
- Lessons learned from the SGP Programme: The session explored valuable insights gained from the implementation process, offering perspectives to refine future efforts.
- Technical and financial reporting status: Updates were provided on the grantees’ technical progress and financial disbursements, ensuring transparency and alignment with programme goals.
- Feedback from grantees to stakeholders.
ACB praised the grantees for their commitment, emphasizing their critical role in driving the SGP II Programme objectives forward through effective project management and resource utilization.
